NATURAL-ACTING AND LOOKING REPLACEMENTS FOR MISSING TEETH

Do you have one or more teeth that are either missing or are beyond repair?

If you do, then consider getting one or more dental implants to restore your smile. Implants are lifelike artificial teeth that let you to smile, eat and talk comfortably. Naturally

WHAT IS A DENTAL IMPLANT?

A dental implant is a high-tech replacement for a missing tooth. It’s the closest thing to a natural tooth available in modern dentistry today.

An implant is made up of a titanium post that functions like a tooth root, and a porcelain restoration that looks like a tooth. Implant can be used alone or with other false teeth such as bridgesor partial dentures. Implants can also be used for stabilizing lower dentures.

Implants increase your quality of life. They give you the ability to chew and smile confidently with lifelike teeth that feel completely natural. They can also improve your appearance and give you more confidence. And they are designed to last a lifetime!

ADVANCED, COMPETENT IMPLANT CARE

Dr. Anderson has many years of experience working with dental implant cases. He will co-manage and guide your implant treatment throughout the process to help ensure you will get the functional and aesthetic outcome you seek.

ADVANTAGES OF DENTAL IMPLANTS

  • Implants fill-in unsightly gaps in your smile.
  • Implants deter bone loss that occurs when a tooth is lost. The titanium root fuses with the bone, thus preventing bone loss.
  • Spreading bone loss in the jaw affects the ridges and gums in your mouth, as well as the nerves and muscles in and around your mouth.
  • Removable dentures and fixed bridges usually need to be replaced every seven to 15 years, compared to a 20-year or longer life span for implants.
  • You inevitably lose mass in your jaw when you lose teeth. This affects the overall skeletal structure of your face, which not only changes your profile but may also result in drooping muscles, thin lips, jowls or a witch’s chin.

ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS FOR THE BEST RESULTS

Dr. Anderson starts with a comprehensive oral exam. He will evaluate what will need to be done, if anything, to prepare your jaw for implants. He’ll explain in detail about the implant procedure, as well as review with you your other options to replace missing or badly damaged teeth.

He uses an ultramodern Galileos 3D Cone Beam imaging system during the exam. This high-tech evaluation tool helps him get a complete depiction of your jaw. Cone beam scanning is like a panoramic X-ray only with much better definition.

Dr. Anderson uses the cone beam scan to measure bone height, to check for any anomalies in the bone patterns and to create a surgical guide for precision implant placement.

CREATING YOUR NEW TOOTH

To get the best results Dr. Anderson has partnered with an experienced local periodontist (just two blocks away) who places the implant’s post using the surgical guide Dr. Anderson creates with his 3-D CT scanner. This way, the implant goes exactly where it needs to go for optimum esthetics and function.

Once your titanium implant’s root is firmly integrated with your jaw bone Dr. Anderson will place the porcelain CEREC Crown on it. He uses high-quality porcelain that’s extremely durable, strong and has a lifelike appearance. Click here for more information on our One-Visit CEREC Crowns.

With this kind of careful planning, you can be assured of getting an implant that’s long-lasting and fully functional, as well as natural looking.
